The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum is calling on members of the Canadian apprenticeship community to be presenters at the National Apprenticeship Conference taking place at the Telus Convention Centre in Calgary, AB May 24-26, 2020.

The conference is estimated to bring together over 500 delegates from the Canadian apprenticeship community. Presentations will highlight best practices and innovative solutions in apprenticeship training as well as strategies for attracting and maintaining top talent.

Presentations will address hot topics such as how to break down the stigma associated with careers in the skilled trades, how to engage youth and under-represented groups as well as how to encourage parents and educators to actively promote apprenticeship as a first-choice career path.

Interested speakers are being asked to submit a presentation abstract outlining their ideas, research and/or innovative practices that contribute to the on-going dialogue surrounding how to develop a highly-skilled trades workforce.

The submission deadline is Friday, November 8, 2019.
